Title: Groupie
Series: Juked #2
Author: M.E. Carter
Genre: Sports Romance Standalone
Groupie
/ˈɡro͞opÄ“/
a person, especially a young woman, who regularly follows a celebrity in the hope of meeting or getting to know them.
See example Tiffany Wendel:
Whore. Slut. Cleat Chaser. I’m used to the names so they don’t bother me. These are my boys. My friends. So what if I like to have dirty sex with them? My body is no one’s business but mine.
Why is Rowen Flanigan making me re-think how I live my life? Making me question my choices? He’s only a rookie.
Rook·ie
/ˈro͝okÄ“/
a member of an athletic team in his first full season in that sport.
See example Rowen Flanigan:
Player. Son of a legend. Rookie.
Sure, I’d heard the stories of the groupies before. Who hasn’t? I’ve just been more sheltered than my teammates. So what? I didn’t expect her to be smart. Witty. Kind. She brings me to my knees in every way – except one.
That part? I’m saving until the time is right.
So how in the hell did I end up falling for a Groupie like Tiffany? And how in the hell is this going to work when everyone at my job has had a piece of the one thing I haven’t?
"This is the kind of book that makes you want to throw your kindle....no, literally. I threw my damn kindle across the room. But thank baby Jesus it didn't break, because DAYUM! Groupie just made me love M.E. Carter even more!" –Jessica Prince, Author
Captain's Log :: Review
The best thing about this book was how she handled a lot of really delicate scenarios and situations. This book was fantastic as dealing with issues that no one wishes to ever have.
I absolutely loved their commitment to each other and how they waited. The way they did that is so rare. People just don't do that any more. His view on love and marriage and relationships? Totally swoon worthy. I loved it.
I loved her and how she dealt with everything. She was strong, but she was also kind of oblivious. She seriously thought those guys were her "friends"?? Yeah, because you're not innocent, sweetheart. They're you're friends all right ... I mean, I kind of wanted to smack her because it was obvious to me that she was only there for ONE thing when she thought she had friendships and relationships with this guys.
Overall, though, I really liked this book. A solid FOUR STARS.
