Review :: Tristan :: Karla Sorensen

Title: Tristan
Series: Bachelors of the Ridge
Author: Karla Sorensen
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: January 25, 2018
There's one thing you should know about Tristan Whitfield: he’s been in love with Anna for years.
There are two problems with that: she has no idea, and she's married. Or at least, she was.
Anna Callahan knows three things about her brother’s friend, Tristan: he's quiet, incredibly handsome, and has a smolder that could set the room on fire.
For years, it wasn’t difficult for Anna to overlook all of that. But when Tristan is the solution to a work problem that could derail her career, he is anything but easy to ignore.
To Tristan, the fact that the object of his affection is suddenly single means he should tread lightly. Be the friend she needs until she’s ready for more and hope the risk pays off.
Because it'll add up to the one thing he wants: her.
"Tristan isn't just angsty or emotional. It's absolutely spellbinding. From the first word to the very last, I was hooked. An epic finale to one of my favorite romance series ever." - Bestselling Author Kandi Steiner
"I devoured this book in one sitting. Karla hit every emotion imaginable. I got mad, I laughed, I cried, my heart ached, and by the end, it was filled with joy. Tristan's story is the perfect ending to an incredible series." - Author Kathryn Andrews

My Review:

*sigh*

Guys. I asked Karla for Tristan's book as soon as I finished Dylan, the first book in this series. This book has been on my Most Anticipated List for almost TWO YEARS. I. Was. Not. Disappointed.

This book. This. Book. It's literally the epitome of slow burn. Sorensen takes her time, allowing the characters to feel what they need to feel and writes it in such a way that you also feel what they feel. I feel Tristan's complete and total devotion to Anna throughout the entire book. That ache, that absolute desire and his ability to hold on to it for so long just breaks your heart. In the best way. Holy freaking cow. And Anna, poor Anna. I love her. I admire her. Her being able to process things the way she did was awe-inspiring.

With this being the final book in this series, we got to see into the lives of all the previous Bachelors of the Ridge. It was really nice to get an update on everyone and see how their lives have been playing out since the end of their books.

While I am a tiny bit sad that this series is over, I know that it will have a special place in my heart. I have loved it and enjoyed it and look forward to more from Sorensen who continues to knock her words out of the park.

Five stars. Five.

Well, let’s see ... I’m a wife and a mother. If the things that I write bring a smile to someone's face, then I've done my job. I am obsessed with Outlander (both the books and the show). I’m almost exclusively a romance reader, which means some people will never consider me a literary snob. If I could meet one historical figure, it would be Jane Austen. I received my Bachelors in Public Relations and worked in health care marketing before I had my babies. I hate Twitter. I do it, but I hate it. Also, if you want to get on my good side, bring me wine and I'll love you forever.
