It was his lips.
The way his stare sent shivers down my spine.
The way his rough voice whispered my name.
So I caved.
I did what I knew I shouldn’t.
But as quickly as he’s there, he’s gone.
Leaving me confused.
Devastated.
I hope I’ll never see him again…
Then I do.
He’s my new boss.
And he has secrets.

This story had a lot of very interesting twists during the final 35% of the book which I think slowed down all of the other parts. I really enjoyed it, though. It had a fantastic amount of angst and mystery and a load of chemistry between the characters.

There is one thing I think some people are going to have a problem with (no spoilers from me!) but the way it's written and the way everything goes down makes sense as to why that would be.

I do really love Harrison's writing. She has complex characters who are easy to relate to in one way or another.

A solid four stars for Sordid.
