The emotions in this book are so well written that you can feel them as you read. You can feel the hope, the doubt, the happy, the anger, the acceptance. All of it and then some. You understand what's going on with the characters on such a deep level that it feels like your drowning and/or flying right along with them.
And their strength. One is strong because he stands firm and the other is strong because he's finally accepted his fate. Good golly, guys. For. Freaking. Real. These characters are so strong and so grounded and just amazing.
AH-MAZE-ING.
I refuse to give anything away here. Just know that you definitely need to get your hands on it. ASAP.
