Captain's Log :: Review

          I absolutely loved this book. It was a quick read for me (I read it in about two hours) and was just the right amount of angst/sweet/sexy.

After a fall from grace, Sydney needs a job. Any job. She gets an interview to become a live-in nanny for a very well known football player and his wife. Fortunately, she gets the job. I loved all the interactions between the wife and Sydney. Their relationship/friendship was great.

Wade is nervous and going through a confidence drought. Yeah, he was drafter to a major football team and yeah he's really good friends with Sydney's employers and yeah he's hot and single but he's really worried he'll get cut from the team.

After a series of events that are mostly unavoidable, big-shot football player is photographed with Sydney after she fell and he helped her up. Unfortunately, one particular photo refuses to go away and leads to rumors of a relationship that simply does not exist. Ignoring it is the best option, but it isn't going away.

Enter this hair-brained scheme that actually brings Wade and Sydney together. They're both tentative and unsure about what they've agreed to but know that it's really for the best for their friends.

The aftermath of that is sweet, hot, and was so much fun to read. Watching their very quick relationship grow and become what it does was a fun journey.

This is the first book in this series that I've read but I plan to go back and read the others. Reading the first ones are probably recommended just for back story but aren't necessary to Sydney and Wade's story.

Four stars for this seriously fun read!
