Captain's Log :: Review
This book took my soul, stepped on it, crushed into a billion unrecognizable pieces and walked away. THENNNNNNN, it took my heart, ripped it out of my chest, and devoured it, leaving nothing but an empty cavity.
But. It did this beautiful thing. It put the pieces back together. It gave me a heart transplant (because there's no way to recover an eaten heart, lol). It healed me. It soothed the wounds.
Writing this review is even difficult as I'm feeling all the emotions I was feeling when reading the book. It was so freaking good, people. I mean ... wow. And I read this is her DEBUT NOVEL? I am now speechless.
A childhood friends to distant acquaintances to cordial people to happily ever after. Man, this book just hit me hard and the book hangover is real.
So, please, just go read it. It's amazing. Bonus? The COVER? I want this book just so I can display it on my shelf. It is STUNNING.
