Captain's Log :: Review
Well. This book was interesting. I read it in about an hour and was kind of disappointed at it's length. I wish there was MORE to the story. There were a lot of details that were left out that kind of ticked me off. But I did like the story that was given.
I guess I have learned that I don't care for a story that's 40% sex. I need the background and the depth of the story and more details. Yes, the sex was scorching hot. That's not my point. My point is that this story lacked depth. I don't know what UCC stands for. I don't know if Jade is sleeping with more than one guy. The cover didn't match the story. I know why they used Star Wars aliases, but I don't know much of the back story. I don't know why he didn't just come out with the freaking truth oh, about four years earlier. Why in the world did he hold back for so long? Why didn't she say something sooner? These are all things that are bothering me that could have been written about but weren't. I know that's a LOT of negative so I'll talk about the positive. I liked her circle of friends. I liked their weekly ritual. I liked her friendship with him before it turned into hot sex. I liked that she was an independent woman who owned her business. The writing was pretty decent but this story just honestly wasn't for me.
I'm giving it THREE STARS.
