For a sports romance, this one was okay. It was a second-chance friends to more story that was fun and frustrating at the same time.
I liked how real Abby was. Her struggles were real, her growth was real. I didn't like Max, though. He was self-centered and kind of a jerk. Even to Abby and they were supposed to be "friends".
They had so many miscommunications. So many things were said that were taken out of context and it built this unreal kind of drama that was hard to read.
It took a seriously avoidable situation to make him realize he was in love with her. With that, I'll add - DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE. EVER.
There was a lot I liked about this book but almost the same I didn't care for so for that reason, this book gets a solid THREE STARS from me.
